At Natasha Jackson Ceramics, I offer various classes and workshops where I can pass on my expertise and share my knowledge to help keep this craft alive for future generations.

The History of Pottery

Pottery is the art of creating objects, from clay by shaping and then firing them at high temperatures. It is one of the oldest and most enduring art forms in human history, dating back thousands of years. The process of pottery making involves various techniques, including hand-building, wheel throwing, and glazing.

Today, pottery continues to be a beloved art form practiced by artists and enthusiasts worldwide. It offers a therapeutic and meditative experience, allowing individuals to connect with their creativity and express themselves through a tangible medium. Whether it's creating functional pottery for everyday use or crafting unique decorative pieces, pottery remains a timeless and captivating art form.

You will learn how to use the tools yourself and you will be able to choose your best pot out of those made and have it fired. Any extra pots that you would like to keep cost £5 per pot plus the same cost of £5 for transparent dipping glaze.

Disclaimer:
Please note that all pots and orders can take between 4-8 weeks. I take care in all work that goes into the kiln, however nature may take its course and items may crack or explode in the kiln. I try to prevent this but it still may happen.
